So as you may have tried to follow, my intermittent fasting on lasted about 6 weeks before I just couldn’t keep up with it anymore. Though I did feel more and more energetic as the weeks went on, I still felt an absence of completeness in the mornings. As I wake up early at 6 am to get ready for work, thinking about not eating was distracting. I kept taking ‘just in case I get a headache’ snacks to work and I did not find a substitute for not eating that worked for staving off hunger other than coffee, which I do not like to drink every day, or tea, which I also do not like to drink every day. I have since began drinking actual ‘total lean meal replacement shakes’ by GNC. They are much more filling than the shakes I previous drank and they have the bonus of being lactose free. My fitness / ‘lifestyle change’ journey is not over yet. I have added 5 days of exercise and a generally healthier diet to my life. I haven’t gotten to ‘cutting out carbs’ and I’m not sure I ever will.
So all in all, fasting wasn’t for me, but I wish they next blogger who takes the journey into fasting the best of luck.
